Default Marzocchi 45mm shiver top nut

Can someone tell me if this red nut on top is actually a preload adjustment? I have looked on the manual on here for my forks on my 13 250 and it makes no mention at all of this. It does say that the top nut is how you undo the cap but I notice they both turned a lot first as if they are adjusting something before they stopped turning to be able to undo the actual cap

are you sure they are 45mm forks? If they are 48mm which is what i think was on the 13s then i believe they are preload.
maybe add a photo before we mess something up ;-)

Sorry I thought I added a photo when I made the post but i must have messed up trying to attach it! They are the same as the ones in the post that has been linked above though! I did see that post but I saw a few others posts elsewhere saying they shouldn?t have adjustment on that nut so I got confused. And it also mentions nothing in the manual about it so I have no idea how to set it. The only mention I can see for that top nut is to undo the cap!
