Tank cracked at mounting point
On my new '10 EC300 the tank mounting point on top near the steering head has cracked. It doesn't leak fuel as the plastic is a flat "tab" at that point.
The bolt has a small spacer under it to keep someone from tightening it all the way down hopefully preventing it from being smashed/cracked but apparently this didn't work as it was supposed to. I put a larger washer over it as it seems to be getting a little worse. I hope I don't have to buy a new tank. Are cracks in this area common?
