Default 2019 ec300

Have not had a carb bike since 2012. This bike keeps on impressing me daily. It lugs, pulls, climbs just about as well as an Alta does. The only issue I have is the transition from low to mid, feels "flat" in between and then hits. I have heard a lot of complaints about the stock needle N1EF. I hear a lot of people talking about NC3H and that it clears that issue up. My question is, when doing that, are there other changes that need to be made? I really like how this bike performs everywhere else and do not want to mess that up. I live at about 400 - 700' ASL.
