new 48mm Marzocchi forks??
Has anyone ridden the new 48mm Marzocchi's???? If so, please post your experience with them. There are already a few in the states and a friend just got his 250 Race last week. I'm really interested to know if they are as good as what i'm hearing.

I have one.
The fork is stiff when you push it but when you ride, the fork is very very very good!!! I like it, it is the best stock fork I have ever ridden

Yes definitly good. I have only 5,5 hours on mine. But it need revalve (and maybe new springs) to my ridding style (160lb) and trails with rocks and roots.

That's not many hours yet. I wouldn't start worrying about it till maybe 15-20 hours breakin. That will also give the rear linkage bearings etc and shock a chance to free up. It can be hard to differentiate between front and rear problems sometimes. I know I found this to be the case with mine.

I did not want to break out the GG until later, but the YZ is down with a milky spark plug.
I'll get 5-8 hours on a pair of 48's this Sunday and I'll let you know what I notice.

I have the 48 marzocchi on my -11 gasgas EC300 Racing.
I have only ridden them for 3-4 h so I can't evaluate them yet. But I wounder what the PFP (progressive floating piston) external adjuster. What is that? And how do I adjust? |

Quote:
Baseline is 20 clicks out on compression (top) and rebound (bottom), with a listed setting for the PFP of 2. Springs are 0.42, so it sounds like the valving is expected to hold up the fork. More as soon as it becomes available.
