Default 03 EC250 piston kit??

I am looking to redo the top end on my 03 EC250 and I can't seem to find the correct piston kit also which gaskets and such...seems there is more than one type piston..

The bike still runs good just have 28+hrs on it and it's being converted to SM duty so want to freshen it up...

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thank you very much
Debi

I would think at 28hrs you would be fine not replacing the piston. Maybe the rings, but I would even question that.

i re-ringed my 200 this year. and it had 8 years on original piston/bore/rings. piston and bore were still perfect.... it now has maybe 20 hours on it, and it's seated nicely and running like a top. i think if the bike was jetted properly, and ignition not pushed too far, you can run awful long time before piston/bore is needed....

Debi. First thing is to check your cylinder at the rear by the reed cage, there will be a letter indicating the cylinder size, A,B,C? If yours is a A your lucky, a 86-96 honda cr 250 piston standard size will fit. Monkeybuttparts has wiseco ,athena vertex. in stock and marginal sizes for about $114.00. You will also need from a gasgas dealer, base gskts, water spigot, power valve covers, reed cage, head orings, exhaust orings and power valve bearings, you can get these double sealed for about five bucks each from a bearing supply house.

I looked and I saw a number stamped and then a small A stamped just under the number on the back of the cylinder.....so does that mean it's the CR one???
