I tried registering at six different DMV's before being told there was a block on my name trying to register that motorcycle. They gave me a phone # for the Federal Motor Vehicle Division or something and the guy I talked to was very sure that I should be able to register that bike. He said that all I'd have to do is find a company who imports motorcycles into the U.S. and have them OK it for street use in the U.S. and then I'd be able to register the bike.

I eventually went to Vermont and titled it there using my N.J. adress because I figured it would be cheaper.

The VIN on Gassers comes up as a flag when trying to register these bikes for the road. You have to take them to a registered inspection facility and get it inspected proving it's street legal. Once you have the inspection papers it's not a problem to get the bike registered (except for dealing with morons).

No problem in Florida. I just presented the MSO and the money. Walked out 10 minutes later with the tag and title for my 06 FSE
