Smile Spring Training

Taking advantage of the fantastic weather we had in the PNW this past weekend, we pulled our oldest's 12.5 Oset out of the garage so he could practice (started riding last year, just before he turned 4). Probably not the most exciting video (lol), but it's one of those proud parent things

Well done! Was looking for an Oset for my girl, but she prefers the stability of her quad (for now).

Looks great, and yes, yesterday was stellar, even up in "rainy" Seattle.

That was fantastic.

That put a big smile on my face and brought back alot of memories. Teaching my daughter to ride. And a girlfriend or two...

Still smilin' over that one. Thanks for sharing!

Default Spring Training

Did the same thing with my boy last year. This is a video of him a month before his 4th birthday. Love these little bikes. I bought him a new crf50 with training wheels but it's a little big for him to learn properly on at that age for sure. I hear ya about the proud parent thing, give the little guy a pat on the back from me, looks like he's doing great!

Thanks guys

Trev - that's an awesome vid of your little guy riding I laughed when I saw the jogging stroller...your wife trying to make sure she wasn't in the way?

I've had a blast working with my oldest son. His hands are still too small to reach the brake levers, so it's all throttle control right now. His little brother won't be too far behind him. This is what he does while big bro is off riding:

And this is what he does as soon as big bro is off the Oset:

Could you use a different perch and lever set up?

I bet a big bicycle shop would have something that mounts closer to the bar.
They can make cables at a good shop too if that is an issue.

If you can tig weld or know a guy you could cut the perch down and reweld it.
You could also heat the lever up and put a good bend to it that gets it closer to the bar.
