Default New here, just bought an EC300 from a member

I just purchased a 2006 EC300 from a forum member on here, and all I can say is WOW, what a great machine! I am coming off a 2011 six days KTM 450xcw, blew out a knee, and decided to hang up riding for a while, till my 9 year old daughter decided to start riding and I figured I would pick something up to chase here around. The bike has the updated subframe, came with fully revalved and resprung suspension, a rekluse, new FMF exhaust, 40 hours on a fresh rebuild and a bunch of extras including 2 sets of new 2007-2009 plastics. Did a quick 20 mile ride on my local woods loop, and I really can't believe the way the bike feels, very light and nimble, tons of power, pulls like a tractor down low, and handles great.

what a great value on a great woods machine!

Nice ride, welcome. That sure does look like an IT200 sitting there? Maybe an 86? Had one as a kid, best thing my dad ever bought me. Still have dreams about it to this day!

it's actually a 1983 IT250K, the best of the best in its day, aside from the 490! it's for sale by the way!

I had a 1982 IT465 that was a wheelie machine! Which was good because the front suspension was weak so challenges were best met with the rear wheel.

I'm starting to tear up with all the IT talk. The good old days! My 200 was a beast, can't imagine the 250 or 465. At the time I was just happy to have one that didn't have 2 rear shocks, chrome fenders, and hi/lo range ('74 Suzuki TC 100). I have a '12 ec250 but sometimes I imagine it's the old IT!

Welcome to the fold and GG, great looking bike

Really cool your daughter decided to get into the sport and that pulled you back into it as well, I'm looking forward to the time when I can head out on the trails with our oldest (6).

Have fun and post up ride reports if you have the time - always fun to read about adventures in other spots.

And I have to ask, any meanging/significance behind the user name? I'd like to see a custom zombie...lol.
