Find the right needle/pilot combo that suits your local gas and the 300 is a pussycat.

But it has claws if you pis it off.

That is exactly how it feels, like an old school 500mxer
I'm going to drop compression to 12:1 this weekend and jet it a touch richer on the needle as I think I may still be jetting this like a mxer, as I was always looking for that crisp clean snap, this needs that 'edge' removing.

Jakobi, it's exactly that on off jerky bit I dont like too, my brief time on the ec200 spoilt me as that was linear and as near as an electric motor feel as Ive ever experienced

It has an fmf system fitted at the moment but my DEP should land soon, until then Ill tweak away and if I cant get this how I like theres always the 250 jug to try......

So you need a needle with a bigger base diameter than the N1EF or whatever it had std. Don't even try to make that work.

Default Rode it

Quick update
Took bike out for its first ride since doing head/squish/jetting and liked it, and never stalled it once even in tight woods

What a blast it is to ride on trails, bottom end grunt is supurb, clean and smooth right through to a decent midrange, topend needs sorting as it feels like it goes flat with no overrev, may be me and my 125 habits??? I also leaned out the needle one more size and clip which really helped the low rev part throttle feel

I swapped over the FW weight and really liked the 26oz !!!

All I need to sort out now is the rear end, it kinda feels dead

So right now Im happy and looking forward to some fine tuning and will leave comp at 13:1, jetting is 40pilot 1.5 out, N3CH in first, 172 main

Rode mine yesterday and its a joy. I hardly use the top end, and I had 27 yrs road racing a 50 so you'd think it would be ingrained.
