'03 DE300 Vin help (10th digit is a D?)
Hey guys, I'm trying to get my 2003 DE300 insured and they are kicking back my VIN as invalid.
My VIN shows as - VTREC3000D1026004 - on the neck of the bike. The one in question is the "D" in the 10th digit? I know 10th digit is supposed to represent the year, but D was used for 1983? This should be a 3 since its a 2003. And the 9th digit which is the check digit doesn't check out? See for yourself? What do you think?
