Default 2012 pipe

My 12 pipe is battered and some 2008 to2011 ones have come up on ebay at a very good price ,does anyone know what changed on the 12 front pipe , is it just a case of the mounting points being changed or is it a whole new pipe .

I think its just the mounts have changed Chris. I can take some measurements for you when I get a chance. Got the 2010 and 2013 sitting side by side.

I hear the pipe itself is the same shape but the mounts are different, not sure how different though, could be a few mm could be miles off.

If it's just the mounts it's an easy fix , grinder and tig 😎

Sorry Chris,

Been tied up with other things and it slipped my mind. Just ran out the shed and specced it up for you now. The front of the can appears to very similar, in distance across, diameter of the pipe at the seams, distance from the lower mount to the seam etc. P3 lists the same part for 08-14 models, so I'd say its fair to assume the front will be right. The tab may need a different mount to the frame, but nothing that can't be shimmed out/tweaked.

The upper mount is different, and on the 13 is moved back in towards the frame more. Distances from the silencer join are very similar, however I couldn't accurately measure with it on the bike still. Eyeballing it, it appears the final stinger part may actually be welded on at a different angle on the newer pipes too. Again, couldn't measure but wouldn't be too hard to modify.
