Default 2013 GasGas rear suspension

I have just had a test ride on the 2013 GasGas 250 and 300. The bike feels good but looking at that new linkage on the rear suspension makes me wonder what's it like jumping logs and rocks. It's hanging out like a pair of nuts on a prize bull. Anybody got problems on rocks and logs???

There is a company that made a run of skid plates for them but run is over and they're hard to find here in the states. Not many complaints so far but a bit of concern for sure..I don't have one so I can't speak from experience, just what other have said

Actually a part of the linkage (I think) I've read that one version will lower seat height also.

I have the same problem with my '13 KTM. The linkage looks to be in peril. It so far has not been a problem at all. Though I did see an interesting home brew guard I want to copy. It was made from what looked to be 1/8th inch UHMW plastic, fastened to the skid plate with simple bolts and fitted up against the linkage to act as a glide plate. It was under tension, so it moved up as the linkage did. Rather ingenious. I wish I had a picture.

Taddy B's bike has something like that. Looks better than the other types of guards.

Stillwell made some pull-rods up that were bridged with a little glider section, but I think only for the Huskies and KTMs.

If you ride technical rocks you will beat the crap out of the lower shock eye. Logs are less damaging but can hang you up too. Try and find a Scorpion skid in stock somewhere. Hopefully he will make more. You can also design your own if Scorpion doesn't come through. HMWPE stock is cheap.

Checkout this site. http://www.slavensracing.com/shop

They have a linkage skid plate.....for KTM's. They have some items for GASGAS.....
Could be worth a call if they could fab something up for the low "HANGING" STUFF!
