Changing Oil

I have a 2012 gg ec250f, it is new for me, awesome machine! Now for my question, I have changed the oil and filter on it and the manual from gasgas says that you emptying the oil on the left side, when I read the manual from Yamaha WR250F it says that you empty the oil underside the engine? is it the same engine? Which is the correct way?

I'm not satisfied with the gasgas manual, want a more descriptive manual. More like Yamaha's manual.
