Thanks man, I forgot to update this ad.

I hope she treats you as good as she did me. If yamaha ever updates the YZ I will be first in line to buy one.

Ride safe

YZ is MUCH lighter, not as neutral feeling, you have to stay way up on the tank to get it to turn. Can be tuned to delivery power any way you want it. Did I mention its light. Doesnt feel as bulky as the GG. Reliable as an anvil. Motor spins up quicker than the GG. Super Flickable and has a pretty good balance. Close ratio trans can be annoying in more open riding. Great bikes, I would HIGHLY recommend one to anyone thats willing to take the time to set it up.

GG 300 has a lot more bottom end. Definitely a more neutral chassis and turns a little better. The extra weight is there and you can feel it. I like the trans ratios better on the GG. Honestly I dont have as many hours on the GG as I would like, but it definitely doesnt "Feel" as durable overall. I have noticed I hit the frame near the footpegs a LOT more on the GG. I HATE the rear brake lever. Overall I think the brakes on the GG are better than the YZ, probably a combo of better rotors and braided lines, both easily addressed on the YZ. The 300 engine is outstanding, good power through the entire rpm range. I would love to wedge that motor and trans into a lighter chassis.

I loved my YZ, so far I just tolerate my GG, but I do need a LOT more hours on the GG. I chose the GG because I could easily get a street title for it, making DS rides easier.

I sold a 2012 GG 300 and bought this YZ.

There is not one major thing on the GG that I didn't like but there are a few minor things. The biggest thing was how much of a pain it was to disassemble in order to clean it. It got to where I rarely did more than spray the large stuff due to it being difficult to take the fender and shrounds and tank off.

I never noticed the weight of the bike until I bought the YZ but it is definitely heavy now that I am pushing the YZ in and out of the truck.
