Default hi... i am Jay and I am a gasgas oholic...

So I have to confess.... I bought a wr450 about 2 months ago and have been riding it and leaving my 300gg at home by itself... Well we went to ride at lake mackenzie this weekend and I was going by myself there and meeting a group so I put the 300 in the trailer also.
We met up with a guy we found lost there the last time we rode there, it was also my first ride on the WR... we were back in an area we had been before, but they have had a ton of rain and everything is washed out bad. deep peg dragging ruts... We had to make a new way out. It was not pretty.

I had made the first ride this day on my wr, then we met him on his new ktm 300 e start and I thought it would be neat to pull out the old 01 300...
We rode places I have never seen before and the 300 was pure joy. It pulled like a freight train and gave no problems in any situation..
There was one hill that was nasty.... Almost, but not verticle with no run at it at all.. The guy on the KTM was leading and I was following him. He tried to go up one side and stalled.... got back down to the bottom.. pointed at me and said " that is the only way up"..... I kinda looked at it.... He said again "that is the way go "
So I fired the 300 up clicked it in gear and hammered it right up that hill ( to my and the other guys amazement) It was beautiful....
The 300 made it look easy.. We rode almost 6 hours and only covered about 38 miles. It was awesome.
I saw him today and he asked why was i bothering with that 4 stk...
I don't know that I have a good answer for him...

Thanks GASGAS for making a great bike.........and helping us look like real riders at times...

jay

Cool, you've just saved somebody a bunch of money. It's amazing how many people get infected with the four stroke virus.

the only things better on the wr than the gg is the headlamp.... and maybe the kickstand.. Maybe the button, but the gg starts in one kick 99.9% of the time...
i think the wr would smoke it top end, but who cares.......

Just sold my '06 WR450 yesterday!

I havent even ridden my EC250 yet, but when I bought it I knew the thumper was going out the door.

Waiting on forks to get serviced, then the gasser is ready to go!
