Default s3 head worth the wait ?

hello i was wondering if the s3 head is worth it as i order it close to 6 week now and still no news from my dealer to where or when it coming .. is it normal to wait that long for part ?? ( i live in Canada ) i am about to cancel it and just put a regular head into my ec 300 ( another 2 week for it ) .. how long does part usually take to come from Europe (or where ever they come from ) unless someone has them in stock in the USA or Canada
by the way i wanted to get the s3 for their cooling effect as my engine overheat a lot ( blow engine twice already due to heat effect )
thanks

I doubt the S3 head will solve your overheating problem.

There's this option on a different head.

The S3 head is quite the gimmick. It is nothing more than a stock shaped head with a lower squish clearance which raises compression. The cooling affect is minimal at best. If you’re overheating that badly, you may want to check your cooling system out. These bikes are hard to overheat and they have to be VERY hot before it causes engine damage (ask me how I know).

Cooling will be negligible. As stated below, check for blockages and that the water pump is spinning correctly. Otherwise look at jetting, air/fuel mix has a huge effect on cooling.

Have you used this head and did it do as they claim?

I believe Memphis just installed an RK head.

I haven't. But Chris E on the GG FaceBook page has.
Here's his take:

" Well the verdict is in. It works better than it looks. Power is boosted from bottom to top. It seemed to smooth out power delivery. It was definitely money well spent.
A couple things I noticed. Jetting was too lean and I had to go up one size on the main. The bike is noticeably louder, it just has a different tone and more of a ?bark? to it."
" One other thing I noticed. The compression has been bumped up considerably. The starter struggles a little until the battery is warmed up."

Yes I have one. I can’t really attest to the claims of better cooling because I just don’t have enough time on it yet. I can however tell you that the water jackets are much larger and the actual coolant capacity of the head is quite a bit more than stock.
