Caliper movement
Hi guys , are the rear calipers (2009) supposed to have a little movement ? Noticed mine moves a bit when I was doing my pads last week.

Some movement is acceptable.
Makes the caliper self centering. |

Depending on hours.. you will see more or less..
New bikes everything is snuggly.. Of course they need to be able to float a little bit. I know the rear caliper on my 2010 with 320hrs or so has a bucketload of play. Rocks back and forward kind of, but still works. You can replace the rubbers and also the locating pins on the carrier and caliper to bring them back into tolerance if you feel it's too sloppy... Or just buy a new bike and love how nothing is flogged out! Can't beat the new bike feeling! |
