Default Can I put my 01 shock on my 05 ???

Really need to let my 01 300 rest she needs seals and radiator somehow got tweaked (cant remember it happening?)and is leaking. Her suspension though is ideal for me
My 05 250 is too softly sprung and sits too low even with the spring preloaded too much. I am too cheap and broke to buy new spring right now if i dont have to,maybe over the winter.Would rather bolt in my 300 shock if possible instead of switching springs out especially cause the shock was set up for hvy guy and the 250 wasnt.Any help appreciated .I'm on vacation this week so if i know soon enough i can change tomorrow and go riding
Thanks all
Stoby

simple way is to measure eye to eye and if it's the same you're in business, at least until someone smarter than me chimes in
