Nice starcraft. If I find one of those or a jayco baja I'm gonna snatch it up. Very cool campers. I actually work at a jayco dealer and can get starcraft oem parts for a pretty nice discount, let me know if you ever need anything.

Thanks. I've had that camper for four years and have never seen another one. My wife found it at a dealer out on Long Island, NY. Everywhere I go it gets attention, I could have sold it ten times over. Its bigger than the Jaco I looked at during an RV show, only saw one of those on the road as well.

Here's our rig loaded up and ready to hit the National Enduros in Wyoming and Montana.
Disregard the KTM on the left (there's always one )

Great forum y'all got here
Here's my main tow rig, a slightly modified '03 awd Astro van.
I lifted the front 3" and the rear 4" so I could go from a stock 27" tire to a 31". Installed 4:10 gears with a Detroit Locker in the rear (open diff in front still). Rancho 9000 adjustable shocks with indash remote and onboard air compressor. Swapped the awd single speed transfer case for a NP233c electronic shift 2spd 4x4 t case so I have low range now (and actually use it a lot). Had a pop top installed with a sleeping loft, and bought a used awning off my buddy. It gets me in and out of the mountains pretty well. Currently finishing up a hitch mounted bike tray to carry the bike as a dingy on the back of the van on overlanding trips. Thats the main reason I went with a plated bike (450 fse) At Skagit River Brewery after riding Walker Valley. As seen in July issue of Petersen's 4Wheel & Offroad "Bug-out Mobiles" article about 4x4 camper vans. Wenatchee Mt outside of Vantage Last edited by T.Low; 08-07-2009 at 06:56 PM. |

Is your 2.5i a sedan? It's much easier to wire the wagons for the lights. Quote:
Towed with my setup about 250 miles in the past week, worked like a charm! Pimping Van! PS- very jealous everytime I see a Hilux diesel. I would buy one in a second if they brought them to the US as a Tacoma Diesel.

There are Tacoma diesels in the US. They use em in the underground mines. Gettin your hands on one and getting it registered might be a different story.

Time for me to jump into this game. Up till this past
weekend. I did not have a picture of my tow rig and bikes worth posting. Just got back from a 4 day ride in Ca. Sequoia National Forest at a place near Kennedy Meadows. This was taken at the Red Rocks Canyon State Park along Hwy 14. It is a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 with a '92 Lance Camper. Towing a 12' Carson trailer with a few customizations. The bikes are both 2002 GasGas, an EC300 and a 280 Pampera. Another angle on the bikes and trailer. Thanks for starting this thread. Jeff in So. Cal.
