Frankfort must have had more rain than N. Manchester. It's too dry here. I'm afraid our 'shroom season is gonna be a bust.

I found about 20 small greys while arrowing my woods on March 30th. We've received only a 1/2" of rain since March 22nd. I went out for an hour or so last night and only found one pathetic, dried-up 'shroom.

We've had plenty of rain and I would think the crop was good around here, BUT I know nothing about finding them! A huge shame since I have 300 acres to hunt them on..... They are tasty, that I do know

It's almost like, you have to calibrate your eyes when you go looking for them. The first one is the hardest to spot but after you see the first one, you can spot them everywhere that day.

You just have to know where they like to grow. We had a great year last year but this year has not been as good as we thought it would.

Southern indiana had a pathetic morel season. It got too hot and not enough moisture. The same thing happened in march when i went to AL to bass fish. It got hot so quick it screwed up there normal routine and they didnt bit at all. Global warming is starting to show up in my opinion.

Anytime Clay, You have an open invite ! (I'm thinking 2012 or used 2011 Nambo test ride......insert evil laugh here)
Truthfully- I have awesome riding right out the house door, and if any of you GG guys are coming through NW Arkansas give me a shout. Our property is home the Almosta Race every year and in the past has been AHSCS race of the Year numerous times in addition to hosting 4 or 5 OMA events- true Arkansas singletrack.
One of the Almosta Race layouts is attached......
My son graduates on May 25th and then you never know where I may show up..
