Default OK, I'm officially confused.

Back in 2000 or so, KTM came out with a blue Jack Piner Edition 200.
They were hard to sell.
Fast foward to 2012. KTM makes a blue bike and now it's the best thing since sliced bread and selling like hot cakes.
What gives?

Farringer and Laffertys' recent results in the NEPG races is what gives. I think if I buy some blue plastic for my 2010 KTM 300XCW I will automatically pick up my speed. After all, its' the same bike as the new Husaberg save the cc forks.

That blue KTM 200 was celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Penton Jackpiner in 1997? If I remember right, it was a $1000 more than the standard bike. Most people were unwilling to pay the money.

Now, if you have one of those bikes that has never been ridden, you'll get your money back, plus some.

The Jack Pine edition had a full-on Ohlins shock (apparently they had done the initial PDS development) as compared to the standard 200s WP legs, and supposedly replacement blue plastic was available only to owners of the special edition bikes. If memory serves correct Dirt Rider did a feature on the JP.

Released with the 98's in aug of 97 as a 97,, the JP edition was a low production.. like 200 built total? I know where one is and he wont sell it to me.. which is good cause I dont have the cash.. I wanted it then and still do now..

Hey look, an old Suzuki!

Interesting to see that all of the front-runners have gone back to mixing gas (gas).
