Leaking from engine to exhaust part
Hi, i'm new to the forum and new to the world of Gas Gas.
Last week i bought a EC 250 ('07) and everything is ok except that he makes allot of noise when decelerating or not applying throttle at all . I think it's because of the leak in the image below, or is this normal ? Any help is appreciated. |

A couple of new exhaust o-rings will keep your spooge from leaking.
3x44mm Viton - cheaper by the ten pack http://www.mcmaster.com/#o-rings/=d3mzpt Inspect the "exhaust spigot" and its gasket. Welcome. Better answers will follow mine.

Pull the pipe off. Then slide the o-rings off.

The exhaust spigot stays on the bike. Pull the springs off that hold the pipe to the spigot. Then follow the pipe back and remove the bolts that hold the pipe to the frame. You might need to remove the silencer (the rear section of the exhaust) before you can remove the pipe (the front section of the exhaust). If you have the silencer off, you might want to see how spooged up the silencer packing is. It is good practice to repack the silencer now and then.
