Default Christopher Nambotine's 300EC

We recently received Nambotine's WEC 300EC complete with magnesium swingarm!

Gee, I wonder who might be interested in this ride in a couple weeks?

Last year all of the WEC GasGas bikes had Ohlin's forks that were painted black to look like 'zokes. This bike definately has the 'zokes forks and the Sachs shock, unless they are bringing Ohlins suspension along.

The bikes looks stock, with the exception of Renthal bars, magnesium swingarm, drilled rear brake caliper, Galfer wave rotors, Dzus style seat bolt (ala Husky), radiator hose cooling fins (similair to last year), Regina chain, carburator vent hoses routed to the airbox, "on the fly" adjustable front brake adjuster and teflon tape applied beneath the clutch and brake perches.

Again this year they will be using FMF Turbin Core 2 silencers.

Please note the slightly arced shape of the silencer. This silencer also has an oval shape instead of the round design on this year's OEM muffler.

They have asked us to provide LTR impellers, Guts seat foam, Motion Pro throttle cables and plenty of "Budwiser."

Coming soon.
Show down in the Sam Houston National Forest.

Yes, Boomer. You will need a WEC bike to be competitive.

Congrats on the new bike!

The other WEC bike we have available will be ridden by Kyle Redmond of California.

Yes the same Kyle Redmond who finished 9th in this year's Erzberg Enduro (Austria) and 4th during the Romaniacs Enduro (Romainia).

The other GasGas rider we are supporting during the WEC is Brian Hasslen, a local rider who also qualified for this year's ISDE.

I'm surprised you were willing to post that, that sure leads us to read betweem the lines (I am quite aware that this kind of stuff happens all the time, it's just usually under the radar). Correct me if I am wrong, but Marzocchi makes alot of parts (like spinning the sliders) for Ohlins, it is easy to see GasGas sliding the Ohlins internals into Zokes legs. I highly suspect that the factory WP stuff is not WP internals (probably Showa or Ohlins front and Ohlins rear).

Last year all three of the WEC bikes that we worked on had the Ohlins rear shocks and Ohlins forks which were painted black.

My understanding was that Ohlins had agreed to supply three sets of suspension for the year for each rider (1 set for their race bike, 1 set for a backup and 1 set that was in for Ohlins factory service.) Marzocchi did not offer the factory service option so the top riders opted for the Ohlins.

The team manager stated the agreement did not require that the riders use only the Ohlins forks and that occasionally they used the Marzocchi forks.

To keep continuity between the team they painted the Ohlins suspension black so all of the bikes would look the same.

They also painted all of the swingarms black to keep the singarms looking the same as well since some of the riders use magnesium ones and other use the chromed aluminum ones.

Steve do the bikes have the Sachs rear shock on them? I see some gold on the rear shock and was just wondering.

From what I have heard the 07 bikes that have the Ohlins rear shock on them are junk. Not the bike but the rear shock. This is because the Ohlins that is coming on the bikes is a low grade model.
