Default 2011 GasGas 300 Six Days

Hey fellow gasser's,

I was getting the bike ready for the new seasonal and noticed there is a hole worn in my FMF silencer. After discussing with several other 2011 Six Days owners they informed that the same thing happened to them. I'm wondering if something similar has happen to any other 2011 six Day models.

I have an '11 200 Six Days and haven't noticed a hole - also haven't specifically looked either.

I'll check this weekend; heading out on a rip tomorrow, so it'll be getting cleaned after that

When I first worked on my 2011 EC300 (not six days) I noticed some spacers between the subframe and the silencer. Might be a known issue with the FMF. I have the Leo Vince on now with minimal spacers, I'll report back if anything goes weird.

Yes, it is a Q Stealth. Stock for the bike. Location, it is where the little plastic ball on the inside of your side plate, the one that keeps in off the silencer, well it wore a hole in the canister right into the insulation. The hole is a little bit bigger than my pinky. You would never know if the side plate was on. I found it to be the weirdest thing ever. I called FMF and the guy didn't believe me. Said the bike would have been hit by something. The pipe doesn't have a dent or scratch on the thing. I'm pushing 50 and just a weekend rider, don't even do hare scrambles or endures. There is only 2011 Six Days models here in Halifax, two are 300's and one a 250. FMF pissed me off, I got in touch with the other two guys and the same thing has happened. Check your bikes guys. As I said, you would never know without your side plate off. I'd be curious how many are like it.

You are correct Phil, there are spacers there. The one up by the seat is about twice the size of the other one. I may get rid of them actually and just use the rubber bushing.

Mine is the same, hole right where the side plate rubber bumper is!

These are good option for mounting the silencer.

I cut the tab off the inside of the side panel so it did not touch the silencer. Of course I did this after I noticed the hole in my silencer.

So, out of nine bikes, 4 has experienced this. I only got back into riding about eight years when I purchased an 02 gasser 200. I've never seen a pipe do this. So, my next question is, have any of you experienced this on any other bike/silencer?
