Default Ohlins rear shock rebuild?

Hey guys, please fill me in. At almost 9k miles on the EC300 ('04) it may be time to service the rear shock. OK, I'm sure it is. After I replaced the tire and added the KoubaLinks I decided to adjust the thing.....well, there are now no clicks on either adjustment and they have no effect on the shock. It "seems" to have damping and seems to "work" but I only weigh 135 pounds. Compared to the 450 it is "weak" but not "dead". It does offer damping............

So, who do you guys recommend for service or is it DIY except for charging with Nitrogen?
Thanks,
Ed
ps.....the wife prefers the 450 to the 300....she says "the 300 has too much power". She easily rides either now.

The Ohlins 888 uses a floating piston setup, and also required a hyperdermic needle to discharge the N2. Probably not the easiest shock to learn on. In this instance I'd probably recommend sending it out. For the price most will service a shock for it'll be the easiest route.

Have you got any tuners locally, or happy to post it out? I'll admit I'm not real clued up with the geography over there.

LT Racing, Les knows his stuff. On the east coast I am not sure. May be Solid Performance in Pa, I have never used him but friends have and are happy.

I've spoke with both Les and Evan, and also heard good reviews of their work.

Check with Cal Northrop ...

He is in your neck of the woods and has several of my buddies winning their Hare Scrambles and Enduro's.

Coppersmith in Ohio

There is also Ohlins HQ in North Carolina

^^^^^^ Steve is a good one, WER is on the east coast (Jim Cook swears by him), and Ohlins USA can't be to far from you if you're in Carolina they should be good for a service
