Hey guys. Everything went really well. I'm in a sling till I go for followup tommorrow. Not much pain, got good dope but don't really need it. Should get a nice x-ray showing the mods. More Ti in me than on the bike!

Glad to hear your doing well Glenn!
Hope you heal up fast so you can get back out there and ride this season man.

I'm doing OK, saw the doc yesterday. Long Ti plate and seven screws, plus some special thread work to hold the splintered bone fragments together where screws would not work. I'm in a sling for a couple weeks more with minimal movement. Still a long way off from riding, but its important that it heals right. It was pretty bad.

I've broken 1 of mine a couple of times, it is a miserable injury. I sitll get a little pain out of it now & then (last broke it in '00). mine did not heal straight so there is a big knot on it & that shoulder rides lower than the other, enough so that when I get a suit tailored I have to get extra padding on that side to compensate.

good luck healing up!

Had a followup with XRays today, bone looks great. I feel pretty good but have been warned about lifting anything heavier than a coffee for a couple weeks. After that start rehab and finally should be back riding 16 weeks post op. A younger pro he said would be 6-8 weeks. Thats OK with me I want it healed completely.

More X-Rays today, looks great, can see calsification already on some spots. Now I'm cleared to lift a quart not a cup! I have a lot of mobility back and can start PT exercises. In certain positions I can really feel the muscle stretching over the plate, but I'm assured its normal for this stage.
