Go for the kyb, I did the wp fork mod on my 97'. You need the caliper and front wheel from the donor bike. The internals on the conventional hub are different from the usd hubs and is a major chore to change it all over. You will have more aftermarket choices with the kyb's.

Work out the geometry first, offsets could be all wrong.

You then have a state of the art CC fork, and proper front end geometry is retained. Its been done with excellent results.
Any thoughts on the forks from a WR250f vs a YZ250F? I was wondering since they are a woods type bike. Or are they not the KYBs

The pe- 2012 WR does not have the SSS (Speed Sensitive System) forks.

I'm in the process of procuring the KYB set up to do the conversion on my bike. We'll see how it goes.

So what year range of YZ250F bikes had the KYB SSS forks? Are the YZ450f forks the same?

2007 through 2011.
All the 48mm KYB SSS forks should be the same, based on my research.
