I really like mine as I have said before. I now can use the upper mid and top end in a controlled fashion on single track. Has anyone tried one of these on a 300 and actually took it off? I see people comment all the negatives of the extra weight but not from those who have tried it. Not trying to be smart but I think all the comments from true users have been positive. At 100 dollars it is also a good deal. The fastening system is also so simple. No set screws or jigs.

Default 23 ounce flywheel weights

Here is a challenge, I will ship you my fww, and you send me $95. If you decide it's not worth it/doesn't do exactly what we say it does, ship it back and I will give you the $95 back. Snow is here and I can't ride it if I wanted to.

I haven't heard any negative comments.
Some clarification to the overall power character changes with the weight.
And some speculation on my part as far as effect on lower end wear and tear.
Ill own that.I assure you it is a reasonable consideratiion
Flywhel effect and modifications are an old issue, you wont be reinventing the wheel here.
If my post came off as negative input for that I apologize.May have ruffled a few feathers with the riding style comment.I stand by it and didn't mean it as an insult to anyone.Generally acknowledged in my realm.

I'm gonna play along here, you may be missing the obvious.
Anybody who feels the need to add flywheel weight to the bike, will be happy with the flywheel weight.

If you thnk you need it,you probably do. Any trade off that you have to make which sounds negligible in this case will be well worth the benefits.
Thats basic.

I just found the original package my flywheel weight came in from my dealer,(back in 06') it's says 14 oz. I wanted the biggest one I could buy at the time, makes things much easier in technical sections in my opinion. You have me curious now on just how much better another 9 oz. would be, I'm a thinkin' it would be the cats pajama's in a good ol' sloppy full-on mudder enduro.

You are correct based off this site.

I'm saying it isnt as simple a discussion as "hey I got one and its great, everyone else should have one too."

There are 8 pages of input on this topic.
Is it a must have item and evety 300 rider needs it ;lock the thread,no.

I sincerely doubt some of the more detailed information which will benefit a far larger scope of riders would be available.

And yes their will be some must haves.
The 300 is a particular beast.

Not everyone is a 300 rider.
Few are willing to give it up without a fight though.

For me no,I like my 300 as is.
I ride with people who would benefit from it though.

It's not used. It's taxi tested tuff. That's worth double a new one.
