They are junk anyway, made in China. For the best protection get the Hyde combo for an '11, it fits good with a minor mod for a rear mount. If thats too much, a cheap aluminum Moose bend it yourself guard is no worse than an eline.

Maybe try motocrosscenter.com if you're set on a carbon/wrap around pipe guard.

Not everyone likes the Hyde, its not cheap, not the best looking, and some just can't get past plastic(polymer). BUT, it ties the pipe guard section to the rame and that is all important for max protection. Separate pipe guards are simply ding protectors that make header damage worse, thats all.

The '11 Hyde fits a '12 very well. We will be setting up my buddy's new 250R with a Hyde next week, he had no problem going that route after seeing my two bikes with them. I'll take some pics and detail the rear mount/mod I did. The front holes line up perfect with the '12 frame tabs and its off in seconds for cleaning and oil changes. I don't even run the clamps on the pipe section.

Force in Austrailia now makes an alloy integrated guard like the Hyde, but its VERY expensive buy the time it gets here.

It does not fit the pipe tight on any bike, more of a gappy
fit that can be tightened up with the clamps if desired. This is good as it provides clearance for the guard to flex in a hit. Skid plate foam keeps the mud collection under control.

Agree that the Hyde does provide more cushioning in the event of impacts where the wrap around guards only prevent dings and then transfer impacts into bending the header elsewhere.

I'm not fond of the look of the Hyde, and in my conditons I would have to remove it after every ride to clear it of mud and debris. Even as it is now I am blown away by the amount of leaf litter that gathers under the bashplate. If I rode more rocky terrain I'd probably have opted for the Hyde.

Hope it all bolts up nicely for you.

What was causing the delay with your motocrosscenter order? Usually I find the emails back and forward and confirming the prices and payment takes longer than the actual postal times.
