Default clutch question

hey guys just been stripping my clutch and noticed one of the padded parts broken (friction plate is it?) its the one that sits at the rear of the clutch stack (closest to main crank case) is this a major/common problem? also it seems thinner than the others.. mabye this is why its snapped.. its off my ec250 its a 2000 model but has a counterbalance shaft in it so not sure which set to order??? if i need to order a new set??? any help welcome cheers luke
