Default Impossible to remove tail light on 2012?

I don't need the lights and the previous owner bought the bracket and front CRF numberplate. So I was looking at just removing all the lights and the wiring just to get it off the bike and keep from tearing it all up racing it. It doesn't appear that the tail light is coming off. Seems as if it is molded into the rear subframe. Anyone manage to remove the rear tail light?

You have to remove the top white rear plastic portion. Consists of 4 screws on top and then 3 bolts underneath. Then you will see that there are 2 small torx screws to remove the tail light.

Any chance you want to sale the tail light?

Ahh, sweet. Thanks Stu.

No not selling. Will put back on when I go to sell it in the future.

Just for the record, yes you can remove "just the tail light" by following the above procedure. However, you can not remove the little "mud flap" to make it look MX. It is molded into the underneath fender support. So I left the light in bc I didn't want a big hole left.
