Default crank

Hey all could somebody tell me what tork you use ti tighten the right side of the crank. The tork # I have 70 ft pds . I had my kid help me and I could not tighten it to that spec..

Till it just strips and back a bit. That way you know its really tight.
No its OK, the knowing you've helped is its own reward.

Yes 98nm is about 72 ft pd. and I am using a some copper to bind the gears. just wondering if I should put a cheater bar on the tork wrench

Is it a lack of leverage, or that the engine is on the bench and the whole thing turns as you try to torque it up? If its the later, an extension won't help.. a jig to mount the engine on a vice will..

All you really need is a length of something and a couple of long bolts, few washers, and rig something to hold the engine via the mounts.. or drop the engine back in the frame for a bit if its nice and clean.
