Default Lilliputian District 36 Cross Country

Just a quick note, the mud race prep paid off. I bagged a 3rd in class. The bike worked....well perfect. It started raining on the 3rd lap and never let up all day. I cooked a set of front and rear brake pads, lost my front brake one the 2nd lap and by the 7th lap the rear was GONE! I did not get a holeshot, but ran up front all day. I did manage to go through a full tank of gas, and needed to pit on lap 6 to finish out the race, gas milage was down the tubes due to it being so slippery. I have two more races left in the fall series.
Here is a link for a few pic's. Enjoy!!!

PEB,

I often think about wanting a newer 200, but, when I really take a hard look at the newer GasGas line up what has changed with regards to the bike? The older bikes turn on a dime, the motor is proven. I've up graded to 43mm WP's up front and the Ohlins shock is a solid performer. I keep up on maintanence, tranny oil, airfllter, wheel bearings, ect, ect. That being said, the bike is right at 10 years old and I would not replace that gal for nothing! Roostafish had the motor worked on before I bought the bike and it flat hauls the mail!

I do get some pretty weird looks on the starting line, when they see a senior rider on a hyper 200 and the rest of the guys are riding big thumpers....it's not the size of the bike that counts... I figured this out when I bought the bike, more is not always better, you need to ride the bike, not let the bike take you for a ride! You have to have some left in your fuel tanks to finish.

Thanks
