Default Float Pin Problems!

When I tilt the carb to change jets and remove the bowl (while on the bike,) the float pin inevitably drops out the "back" and falls into some crack or crevice to hide.

What is the solution for this?? Is there some way to lock it in place?

Thanks,

Jeff

You can replace pilot and main by removing the 17mm bung, no need to remove the bowl.

Haha I was confused first time I read it thinking how does the float pin fall. Bowl off of course. Like Rod said, pull the bung plug and you can access both through that. Small flat blade for pilot, or 6mm socket for the main.

I like this carb as you can change the pilot and main real fast, 17mm bung.
Bet your glad you posted now, all sorts of knowledgeable helpful people on here,

Hey, out riding today and removed the 17mm bung, and what to my wondering eyes should appear but...the main jet, and main jet only. I can't seem to access the pilot? This is an '05 DE 300. Did PWK make different size "bungs?"
