testing stator
I have an 08 EC 300 and i'd like to test the stator. from the sticky above ive worked out that my stator is a 2k-3. Ive never done this before. I know i need a multimeter, which i have and that I need to test the wires coming into the cdi. However this is where my knowledge ends, so if anyone could help me out with which wires to test and what sort of reading I should be looking for as well as any other information you think might be useful, then I'd be most grateful. Cheers.

Gday mate,
First you need this Then set your multi meter to ohms I think it is the 200 setting and unplug the cdi and plug your multimeter in to both colours eg red/green wires and record the resistance. with the yellow and white wires coming from the stator there is a conection easily accessable when the tank is off Hope this helps ya

Thank you, it does. Ive got the owners manual rather than the workshop manual and its fair to say that its next to useless. I thought I recognised the name full throttle, I could have posted this on dbw.Cheers bloke.
