Default 250/300 gearing

Hi guys i have a 2019 ec 250 but i belive it was a 300 and the importer changed the barrel and piston to make it a 250 as there were non left when i wanted one.
Its a brill bike but it feels like theres a big hole in the gearing just before the power valve opens, not like my 2018 250?? I have not played with the pv yet i will this weekend, but my question is are the gearbox ratios the same??

What gearing did you run on the old one? Did they change the CDI as well?

Throw the stock 48 tooth sprocket in the bin and get a 50. Or if you don’t want to buy a new chain and rear sprocket, just throw a 12 tooth on the front for now. Also set the PV at 1.5 turns out as a baseline. Pull the stock needle out of the carb and bury it somewhere so it can never be found and go with a N3CH or NEDW/NEDJ needle.

Hi memphis its got the suzuki nesle in it and 13/50 sprockets same as my old 250, i assume they did the ecu as it was the main importer who did the swap.
Just dont feel the same but i have not touched the PV yet, guess i will do that and see how it feels 👍
