2011 EC300 to 2012 Six Days Look
OK,so after watching the transformation that Rockefeller is putting his EC300 Through I will post my progress.
A bolt came loose that holds the plastic balancer weight on the crankshaft so it destroyed the piston and I was in for a complete engine rebuild. All the bearings I have replaced in the engine, new con-rod, piston, replaced the v-force 3 reed petals. Replaced all the wheel bearings and spacers, new linkage and swingarm bearings, new steering stem bearings etc....... The day I picked her up looking a bit battered and bruised The silencer scratched and dented, black rims really scratched and stickers and plastics looking really rough The forks fitted are the closed cartridge 48mm Marzocchi, though the tubes were black, I had them re-anodized candy apple red I had the black anodizing removed and the rims polished and clear coat anodized and the spokes gun-coated black Engine back into frame Also removed black paint on swingarm and gun coated silver, new footpegs I think the forks look good now, all wiring finished, and tucked away, also have fitted radiator braces TMD design works chain guide, new chains and sprockets. The silencer I puzzled with, a new one would be expensive and how to fix would be difficult as it is mostly cosmetic and not functional damage, my fix,was to wrap it in carbon fiber, I think it came out really well Last edited by booth; 12-22-2015 at 02:54 PM. Sure will make a great trade in if you can keep it as a garage queen for 6 months or so .It is just going to be to pretty to beat it up in the brush ! Heck take it out and thrash it !!!!!

Heck yeah! Looking great. A fellow gasser was trying to talk me out of doing the white frame, but I really, really like it.
Who did your fork anodizing? It looks fantastic. Oh, and who printed up your graphics? I used http://www.rideltd.com/ for my last set, I'm always looking for a good company. |

Do you think the wrap on the silencer will hold up to the heat? I had a similar thought, but opted to find a replacement pipe. Mine's in bad shape too.

The supplier said that it will take high temps, I am just worried the clear resin goes yellow over time, but the supplier says it is UV stabilized and wont yellow. So am hoping it lasts... |

DID you buy a hose kit or just buy hoses to fit from an auto
parts dealer ?
