I think my '11 250 with the Q-Stealth is spooging less than my '05 with the Turbine Core.

I have heard so many differing opinions on the torquiness/revviness on the various silencers that I don't think I will budge crom my Q perch any fime soon.

I was having very good experience with my Q Stealth. Bike ran very clean. The one thing I did not like was the length of it made it so you could nt use the nice grab point on the fender/subframe on my 2011. I tried to get a Cannon but they never came in. So I decide to cut down the Stealth. Very easy to do using a good carbide blade in a miter saw. I cut off alot (4 inches or so). It works very well. It is still quite (much beter than a turbine core) and power really seems the same. I used Silent Sport packing when I repacked it. I think FMF should make some of these. I took a gamble figuring if I didn't like it I was going to replace it with something anyway. I couldn't be happer with the result.

this may help a bit although it is specificall geared towards the 2011 model.

i have used the leo vince, the stock fmf and the cannon/house of horsepower silencers. the house of horsepower silencer really woke up the low end of the bike and with a little richer jetting as worked great. however it looks like thay may be available anymore. richard isnt with cannon anymore and it seems that they are going to have any more sliencer manufactured.

what we have done on our 300's was to cut down the original fmf silencer. if your packing is good there is no need to remove the back of the silencer, just simply cut off 4.75" from the back then remove the cap and drill new holes and rivet it to the silencer. the inner tube will be just the right length to slide inside the tube of the end cap. when its all finished up you will have a sliencer that looks and performs very will. the performace is very close to the cannon silencer only maybe slightly a little less bottom end.

I might have to fire up the compound miter saw this weekend.

I'll go to the iPhone app store and buy a sound meter app and do comparisons.

I take it you cut a TCII2Q? Was it a spark arrestor type?

I have a old leaking end cap TCII that I wanted to be able to obtain the spark arrestor and make it into a shorty....but still need to be under the AMA N/F db sound requirements....

Hmmmm, intresting to see what it blows for sound requirements? The smaller the cc bike, less rpm is used for checking sound....

Great info.....thanks

Just ordered a cannon from gofasters for a 2013 300, so they are making those, and he is also showing some for the 2011 on his website.
