Default Stripped lower shock mount

Tore apart my linkage to service it and discovered my lower shock mount is stripped all the way out. Anyone had this problem and fixed it? Its a 11 300 with the ohlins shock. Can the clevis be replaced were it mounts? Im going to get my shock serviced since ill be taking it off now too.

The Clevis is replaceable. I had to wait a couple weeks to source one from Ohlins though when I found mine had been cracked. If yours is just stripped I'd look at trying to have it helicoiled.

+1 on the helicoil. I stripped mine the other day. Put a helicoil in and it's good as gold again. Better actually since the helicoil is steel thread not aluminium like the standard threaded insert in the clevis.

Ok, glad to hear that worked for you. Do you remember the pitch and thread size off hand??

Call Ohlins USA, there used to be a kit for that with a steel threaded insert. Save clevis for over ten years.

Per Stacey at Ohlins- no insert kit for clevis threads, options are to replace clevis ($62.00 & in stock) or use regular heli coil for repair

I also stripped mine and took to machine shop. He put in helicoil insert to fit the lower shock bolt. Worked perfect. Make sure the sides of the helicoil insert are flush because it is a tight fit.

You can order the whole clevis from Ohlins and the shock doesn't have to be taken completely apart to replace it. I overtorqued mine 18 months ago and I sent the shock to Drew at Works Enduro Rider and he replaced the entire clevis. I never had that problem again.
