Default Which used bike should I look for?

I'm considering moving to a newer gas gas. My current bike is an 05 DE200 with ohlins suspension. I really like the bike but it's getting a little old and I'm curious if a newer model would be an improvement.

I know there was a major appearance refresh in 2007 and then another refresh in 2012 but I'm not sure what changed.

I've been told that the ohlins is really good (mine was already valved for a rider of my weight) but is 2005 era ohlins as good or better than the zokes or Sachs stuff that came on the newer bikes?

Basically I want to know if upgrading is going to be worth it and if so, which year/options (six days, etc.) should I look for? I want to stay with a 200 and am thinking 2014 or older due to budget.

Thanks

I upgraded from 06 200 to 15 200 and am very pleased. My 200 had the std Marzocchi forks and Ohlins rear. The Reiger on my 15 is, as I see it, Superior to the 06 Ohlins.

I am also happy with the 15 Marzocchi forks, but have never tried Ohlins forks

If you do decide to sell your 200 keep me in mind. Come over to Livingston, TN and ride with me sometime. Ken 931-854-8037

My wife has more or less claimed it as her own (she loves the rekluse auto clutch) so I'm pretty much looking at getting something newer for me.

So I read a dirt rider article on the 2018 bikes and it says there will be an EC200 but I don't see one on the gas gas website. Can anyone confirm if a 200 is coming?
