Default replacing the lower shock bush/bearing

Hello.
ive got a 2007 model ec 250 ohlins shock, got new kit for the lower mount, can I do it without removing the linkage? If so any tips on how to make it easier? I guess use a vice with sockets?

Cheers in advance

Best to remove the shock completely from the bike.

pretty sure you will need to remove the linkage, while your there why not check the seals and bearings? Grease em up if need be.

You can do the bearing with the shock on the bike.

Just remove one of the dog bone bolts and rotate dog bone out of the way.

Is it then just a case of use vice and sockets to press the old out and new in? ill probably pull the shock and send for a service while a few bits are apart

Tricky part with this method is lifting the bike onto your vise to press the bearing out ;-)

Anyone know what size the o-ring seals are for the lower shock linkage? And are they rubber or button?

You can also use threaded rod, washers and sockets to make a puller/press.
