Fitted a yz250 kicker.

Had this bike 8 years and now I cant believe I put up with the original for so long!! It's so much easier to start!! And it dosent jam up against the footpeg.

The stock jet needles and Factory carb setup was not smooth.

I can't give you the dimensions, but if you want to stay with the original N1Ex series needles, try the N1EG with the clip in the second groove from the top. My AS1 jetting set-up for under 3K' elevations is the above needle and clip settings, mated with a 42 pilot and a 175 to 178 main jet.

If you are looking for an aftermarket (non-GasGas) jet needle, check out the jetting threads dealing with the AS1 (Keihin Air Striker 1) carbs that came on the earlier year models. (The newer models come with the AS2, which jets leaner.)

Keihin needles from Sudco, or Carb Parts Warehouse work well. I suggest trying a CDK or CDL, but others have more experience with these needles.

Removed my Lectron Carb, bike was becoming harder and harder to start when cold, 10 kicks plus, no amount of adjustment seemed to help, put the stock carb back on, starts first or second kick cold, runs great, nice and strong everywhere.. The Lectron was always a hard starter when cold, this just got to be ridiculous....
