ec fuel tank studs
Hi, some of the rad surround studs are missing from my ec fuel tank. Can I just use short self tappers in the holes? I was maily worried about the holes, are they blind holes or do they go straight through? I wouldnt want any fuel leaking!

I recently fixed mine. Took the tank off, drained it and filled it with water. I removed all the old insert material and melted/dripped some ski/snowboard p-tex repair stuff into the holes. Buttoned it up with the original hardware. It set up nice and soild and has held tight for several hundred miles.

Lucky you! I tried the same thing and the P-Tex crumbled like week old bread.
Doh!, I may try the metal insert fix next time. Jeff |
