Yeah, I was hoping someone could answer where it grounds. I think I'm going to end up grounding it to the starter itself along with a separate ground to the subframe. Just wanted to know what the factory did or what others have found as the best. Oh well.

On my 2018 the battery grounds to the subframe. On one of the horizontal spars, behind the battery.

Some people have recommended running a heavier gauge wire to one of the starter mounting points. Again this is for the 2018 and newer bikes, but should apply to your application on the 2011.
