Spade connectors, what size?
Trying to wire the 2011 style headlight on my 2001. I need to change out the small spade (female) connectors for large ones. My calipers measure the male spades on the headlight at .306 inches/7.8mm. Largest available is 1/4 inch. Where would I get these unusual connectors?
All the wires are here and ready to go, just need to be able to connect them to the headlight. One other question, are these newer headlights meant to have a hi/lo beam switch? |

You can go to the auto parts store and get the right spade connectors. They have a complete connector that plugs into the bulb. Should be the same as the H4 set up.
My '11 didn't have a hi/low switch. No reason why you couldn't use one. |

Ok, that makes more sense.
The only reason I ask about the hi/lo is because there are two bulbs. Will both be lit up all the time then? |

The little "peanut" bulb is a running lamp.
Here's the connector. |
