Default 2009 ec 300 kill switch

2009 ec 300 is the kill switch normally open or closed? i just purchased a yamaha yz kill switch and it is normally open. just wanted to make sure it would work?

it will work. The kill switch usually shorts the ignition signal to ground when pushed.
