250 ec rear end problems
Hi!
I've got a problem with my 250 ec. It tries to "hover", the feeling is like the rear tire is too soft at low speeds, but it had 17 psi / 1.2 bar when I checked it. At faster speeds it does a bit slower movement. Then the rear picks up a direction where it wants to go and I have to battle it back to straight, and then it chooses a new directio... I ride on soft sand mx track. The suspension was made for my weight (100 kg) and the rear sag is about 9,5 cm(4 inc). I tried different hights of forks and now, 3mm above the triple clamps they feels good. Only problem with forks is that they got stuck on the spot they are and they don't move smoothly when moving slowly up and down. And when i'm landing a jump, rear goes down and the fork stays hard, hitting to hands. Last edited by marjastaja; 08-25-2009 at 12:35 PM. |

Air pressure is too high for sand riding, set it at 12psi.

The other thing that helps is fresh fluid and make sure you bleed air from forks before each time you hit the track. Roost on... |
