Chris, nice job on the box. have you fitted it to the bike yet? I found it necessary to notch the front of the battery box to accept the seat block.
afterwards the seat felt much better (sturdy). Also the two rubber spacers
just behind the box needed to be notched a little for proper fit.good luck.

Yes it's all on the bike , I didn't need to mod the parts you just mentioned , it just fits on nice and snug

what do i need if i want to swap my 13 xc 300 over to the alloy subframe? is it direct bolt on or do i need more parts like the 12 guys?

Just the kit and two bolts for the upper mount, can't remember the size.
