Actually I was thinking these are "over-hyped" as the first mod seems to be suspension just like the Orange bikes...

Suspension is the first thing any serious rider does on any bike, especially if terrain is extreme. Its just how close it is for the masses and how it responds to basic tuning. Your a knowledgeable guy, ride one and share your opinions.

I was out riding yesterday, fork feels pretty good right now. Planted feel through out the trail. Rear end kicks back occasionally, I can't tell at what point it happens. Compression clickers at softest, rebound at 19 from fully closed.

I'll just have to set up my video camera and make a few test runs.

I would not recomend running the compression on the full soft setting, You will blow right through the initial travel and then get to quickly into that midstroke harshness zone
