Default 200 Vs 250 silencer / end can

I notice that the EC200 & EC250 have different part no.s for the silencer. Are they really different? Does anyone know how they are different?

Reason for asking is I often see 250 cans for sale and I have a cut off can on my 200 and something is giving me a power dip in the midrange. Changing front pipes and jetting has not removed it. It's always there just the overall characteristics change so I am suspicious of the cut down can. She runs well off the bottom and screams up top but on a long straight there is a noticeable drop in the midrange as you go through the higher gears accelerating. On a long uphill it will sometimes fail to rev out although when it can get there, there is plenty of power to hold it.
